Service means nothing without the ability to deliver. We have our own fleet of vehicles, ranging from full-size curtain vans to local delivery flatbed trucks. We make sure our orders are manufactured on-time and a truck is available to make delivery at a time that works for you.

Our lumber is sourced from mills across the United States and abroad that share our same beliefs in ethically sourced and sustainably grown hardwoods.

Swaner Hardwood’s management team stays connected to industry best practices and emerging regulations through membership and board representation on various industry associations.

We also manage over 3,000 acres of timberland in the Pacific Northwest, which contain various hardwood and softwood species. We understand that sustainably managing the timberland is not only essential from a business perspective, but also ensures that this resource can be enjoyed for generations to come. We strive to be good stewards of the property by logging in compliance with state and federal regulations, re-planting everything we log, and being good neighbors to the local community.

We are long-term members of the Oregon State University Hardwood Silviculture Cooperative (HSC). There are two Red Alder sites on our property that are the oldest Alder plantation study sites in existence – research is performed to learn about site selection, nursery practices, site establishment, proper silvicultural practices and the effects of pruning and thinning. Once the trees reach rotation age, it will provide the first opportunity to assess the actual timber yield and lumber quality recovery for Red Alder from a managed plantation.
