Meet the Family
Swaner Hardwood is a third-generation privately owned and operated organization.
Each family member is responsible for overseeing a different aspect of the business, with a focus on honoring the tradition set in place by Keith Swaner to operate at the highest standard in all we do.
Executive Management
Keith Swaner
Keith is the founder and CEO of Swaner Hardwood. Keith has devoted his life’s work to growing the company and setting an example of leadership and generosity. Keith is 90 years young and still shows up to work every day!
Gary Swaner
Gary currently serves as the President of Swaner Hardwood and spends most of his time managing key client relationships as well as managing the business. Gary has spent his entire career in the hardwood industry and has served on many boards, including most recently the National Hardwood Lumber Association.
Steve Haag
Steve is the Vice President of Swaner Hardwood and serves as Treasurer of the organization. Steve also spends much of his time acting as yard foreman and managing the operational side of the business. Steve has spent his entire career in the hardwood industry.
Sales & Service
Keith Haag
Keith has worked at Swaner Hardwood since 2001 and currently serves as Sales Manager and helps out with the buying. Keith manages a large client base on the west coast and is responsible for the outside sales efforts in Northern California.
George Swaner
George has worked at Swaner Hardwood since 2006, focusing most of his time on purchasing hardwood lumber as well as customer sales and service. George is actively involved in the hardwood industry and has served on the board of the International Wood Products Association (IWPA) and is currently on the board of the Hardwood Distributors Association (HDA).
Ryan Haag
Ryan has worked at Swaner Hardwood since 2006 and currently manages our Home Depot service team. Ryan spends the majority of his time on the road merchandising our product in the stores and managing his team’s territory in CA, AZ, NV, TX, and NM. Prior to Swaner Hardwood, Ryan played minor league baseball for the New York Yankees.
Finance and Administration
Gary Swaner II
Gary has worked for Swaner Hardwood since 2016, focusing much of his efforts on the Finance and Administrative side of the business. Prior to Swaner Hardwood, Gary spent 11 years working in Risk Management for an investment management company based in Los Angeles.
